- Stacks may change its services in terms of content, scope, and the nature of its analytics over time as we scale up and improve our services. Where possible, we aim to provide and maintain a consistent, dependable service. However, Stacks reserves the right to change, terminate, or alter its service at any time, for any reason, or for no reason with or without a prior notice.
- The authorized users must use this service only for their own practice, business or educational activities, and in a manner that is not commercially prejudicial to Stacks, LLC.
- Stacks has absolute control and power over the review process for submitted applications for free trial accounts on Stacks. Stacks approves or rejects an application in its sole discretion for any reason or no reason at all. Stacks shall not be required to provide any reason for rejection or acceptance of an application. Stacks reserves the rights to reserve its decision on an application at any time for any reason or for no reason at all.
- The authorized users are not allowed to share their access information, including username and password, or invitation links or codes, with any other person or entity. The authorized users are not allowed to permit unauthorized users to use Stacks services whether or not on their behalf.
- The authorized user is the sole designated person permitted to use Stacks services. The Stacks service and access cannot be shared with or transferred to any other person or entity. The authorized user is responsible for any activity through her/his account or the use of his/her credentials, including but not limited to, activity that is illegal or against the Terms of Service.
- This service is provided on an “as is” basis, without any warranties or conditions, express or implied. Under no circumstances will Stacks be held responsible or liable in any way for any claims, damages, losses, expenses, costs or liabilities whatsoever. By using the Stacks service, users agree to be held responsible for all risks and liability arising from or relating to their use of and reliance upon the services. Stacks makes no warranty as to the reliability of the information or data gained through use of the Stacks service. Stacks is currently a beta service and should not be relied on as the sole authority in any matter. STACKS HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES REGARDING THE SERVICES OR PRODUCT, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY IN REGARD TO QUALITY, PERFORMANCE, NONINFRINGEMENT, COMMERCIAL UTILITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OF THE TRANSITION SERVICES FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
- Stacks is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. All content and services are for general informational purposes only and should not be considered as professional or legal advice. There is no attorney-client relationship between the users and Stacks.
- The free trial service is provided as a limited time, limited scope service. Stacks reserves the rights to change or terminate the free trial service at any time with no prior notice.
- Stacks services are for human use only, and the users shall not use any automated computer programs or scrapping systems to access, use, or download from Stacks. Users may not reproduce, create derivative works from, perform, publish, transmit, distribute, sell (or participate in any sale), or otherwise access, use, or exploit any material retrieved from or contained in the service in any manner whatsoever that may infringe any copyright or proprietary interest Stacks or any third party; distribute the information contained in the services to any person who is not duly authorized to use or receive the services; distribute, rent, sublicense, lease, transfer or assign the services or the access provided to users to use this service; or decompile, disassemble, or otherwise reverse-engineer the products or service, or alter, translate, modify, or adapt the service and related products to create derivative works.
- This website is designed for adults and should not be used by children under the age of 18. By using Stacks, users are representing that they are at least 18 years of age.
- Using our services does not give you ownership of any intellectual property rights in our services or the content you access. You may not use content from our services unless you obtain permission from its owner or are otherwise permitted by law. These terms do not grant you the right to use any branding or logos used in our services. Don’t remove, obscure, or alter any legal notices displayed in or along with our services.
- Our services display some content that is not Stacks’. This content is the sole responsibility of the entity that makes it available. Some case files are provided by and linked to www.courtlistener.com. Therefore, the use of these files is subject to the terms of service and privacy policy of www.courtlistener.com.
- Stacks reserves the right to change the Terms of Service at any time by indicating revisions through the “Last Updated” date at the top of the Terms of Service. Such changes will be effective upon posting. By continuing to use the services after those changes become effective, you are accepting the revised the Terms of Service.
